Hugh Cameron is the coach of the Brooks Canada Marathon Project. Hugh comes to the position with an impressive resume which includes coaching Brooks Canada's own Silvia Ruegger to the 1984 Olympic Games. Ruegger still holds the Canadian Marathon record.

Most memorable moment as a coach: I have had too many memorable moments to be able to name one but to see athletes you have coached compete and do well at a major International meet is very rewarding. We have had 7 Olympians another 9-10 athletes at the World Championship & Commonwealth Games level.
Two coaching Team highlights were:
1) Coaching Canada's Men Team in early 80's led by Mike Dyon to the World Cup (Coupe de Nations) Marathon Team Championship.
2) Coaching Etobicoke Huskies/Striders in the late 80's to be the first club to win the Canadian XC Championship for both Senior Men & Senior Women in the same year.

Running accomplishments: Completing the 1966 Boston Marathon
Personal Records: No worthy personal records.
Goals for the BMP: To assist Canadian athletes interested in the Marathon to reach their Goal of the Olympic Games.
