THE OVERALL CONCEPT OBJECTIVE:

1. Develop an organized training and competition plan with sufficient financial support (privately funded) as a possible model for Track & Field in Canada to consider that is Event Focused.
2. The intention of the Project is to assist those men & women with POTENTIAL, SINCERE INTEREST and PASSION to achieve their PERSONAL GOAL of representing CANADA in the MARATHON EVENT at either the OLYMPIC GAMES or WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP within 2-6 years.
3. This commitment will be in the range of $1.5 Million or more over 6 years.

To be eligible for selection to the BCMP a candidate MUST:

• Be eligible to represent Canada at any Major International competition.
• And have a Canadian citizenship.
• Have attained minimum Performance Standards for consideration.
• Complete an Interview Assessment.
• Be prepared for a “change in running program direction”.

Final selection to the Brooks Canada Marathon Project will be based on a candidate agreeing to a number of training and racing requirements.
